The Maharashtra Water Conservation Corporation, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was established under a Maharashtra Government ACT dated August 22, 2000

Objective : To make special provisions for promotion, operation and rapid development and regulation of watershed and water conservation works, including social forestry and irrigation projects in the state of Maharashtra.”

Functions : Corporation shall have power to to accord administrative approval, revised administrative approval, sanctioning the budget and making financial provisions and any other thing which may be necessary or expedient for the purpose of carrying out its functions according to MWCC act.”
